If you haven't visited the ESLC's Materials Archive yet, you're missing out! The Materials Archive includes lesson plans, flash cards, activities and visual aids created by tutors and staff. There are also teaching tips and techniques, helpful articles for ESL teachers, and now it features an ESL Manual of the Month! This month's manual is From Home To School. All of the chapters in this manual are related to parenting. It's a great manual to use with your students whose children are returning to school this month! Use it to teach your students about the school system in the U.S., cultural expectations  for parents, helping children with school work, communicating with school teachers, and more! The manual From Home To School Literacy is a simliar manual, but with more simplified stories and activities for lower-level students.
