Why use the ESL Center for your Workplace Classes?
What Sets the ESL Center Apart:
The ESL Center is a non-profit company dedicated to the empowerment of adult immigrants and refugees. Our teachers are qualified educators with significant experience teaching English as a second language. We have offered on-site workplace English classes throughout the Salt Lake valley since 2007, and have served companies such as Wal-Mart, Backcountry.com, and Deseret Industries. Pre-and post-testing show that participants consistently make considerable English level gains after participating in our workplace courses.
What the ESL Center Offers:
We recommend classes that are 6-8 months in length, since 6 months is the typical amount of time it takes for an ESL student to advance one level in proficiency. Our classes are for students of all levels and focus on all aspects of language learning (speaking, listening, reading, and writing). We adjust our curriculum to fit the language needs of your company, helping employees to be more efficient and successful in their specific job functions.
Classes are typically two days a week for one hour and are scheduled around the employee's work schedule. The beginning or end of a workshift are usually the most convenient times for employers and employees alike. We provide textbooks and testing materials for each student, and offer student tracking reports at the conclusion of a contract period. Contracts can be renewed with the option to move students from one course level to another.
