English for Healthcare Careers

English for Healthcare Careers is a 10-unit, 40-lesson curriculum designed for low-intermediate English language learners (NRS ELL Level 4) who are interested in pursuing careers in healthcare.

 

Developed by the English Skills Learning Center, this open-source, fully scripted curriculum provides instructors with everything they need to deliver engaging, accessible, and career-connected instruction.

The lessons are grounded in real healthcare contexts and focus on building functional English, durable skills, and vocational English simultaneously.

While instructors have flexibility and agency in course-design, this curriculum was designed to be taught to classes that meet for 2.5 hours, 4 days per week.
