On Friday, December 5, Utah once again came together to celebrate Utah Philanthropy Day, the state’s flagship celebration of volunteerism, generosity, and civic spirit. The annual luncheon was held at The Grand America Hotel in Salt Lake City and brought together community leaders, nonprofit champions, philanthropists, and volunteers from across the state.
This event honors individuals and organizations whose dedication and service help make Utah one of the most giving states in the nation. Utah Philanthropy Day features a range of prestigious awards celebrating those whose contributions have had a lasting impact on our communities — from lifetime humanitarian leaders to young volunteers blazing trails. One of our favorite parts of the day is the presentation of the Heart & Hands Award, which recognizes volunteers who have made significant contributions to an organization’s mission through exceptional service and dedication. This year, the ESLC was proud to honor five outstanding volunteers with the Heart & Hands Award. Kelsey R., Liz M., Terri H., Roya R., and Jeremy F. were our honorees this year and we're so grateful for their contributions to the ESLC's mission.
Alongside them, many exceptional volunteers from other organizations were also celebrated for the difference they make every day. Congratulations to all of the honorees at this year’s event, including the broader slate of award recipients recognized for their philanthropic leadership, public service, and community impact.
Events like this are a much needed reminder of the good happening throughout Utah and the spirit of giving that is woven into our community. From corporate champions to individual volunteers, Utah Philanthropy Day highlights the heart and soul of service that keeps our communities strong and vibrant.
We’re so grateful for these five ESLC volunteers and the many others whose efforts help move the work of our organization forward every day!
Special thanks to the good folks at UServe Utah and Utah Nonprofits Association for putting on yet another great event. See you there next year!
