It costs the ESLC $35 per month to offer high-quality free and accessible English class for adult immigrants and refugees. With only $35 a month, you can help us reach more students willing to learn and enable us to teach them the skills needed to build bridges out of poverty.



 

Many of our classes are taught by trained and mentored volunteers​. Classes typically meet twice per week for 1.5 hours each time. Additionally, volunteers set aside 2 hours per week for preparation. No teaching, ESL, or TESOL experience is required to become a volunteer teaching at the ESLC. In addition to volunteer teaching, we have other volunteer opportunities as classroom assistants, office assistants, testing, and substituting.
