Latter-day Saint Humanitarian center

Since 2009, the Latter-day Saint Humanitarian Center has partnered with a variety of local organizations in the state of Utah to assist immigrants and refugees in gaining new job skills while also participating in English language classes in a work-based training program. 

 

Currently, the English Skills Learning Center provides a variety of classes at the Humanitarian Center with topics specific to learner goals to empower participants to be more independent and have better skills to improve and maintain future employment opportunities. The program offers vocation English in three career clusters: Food Services, Health Sciences, and Transportation.

Classes are free for Humanitarian Center employees. 

What

Learn life skills English, health literacy, civics, prepare for the written knowledge portion of the Utah Driver License Exam, career exploration, vocational English, and more!

Classes are during work Monday - Friday.
